Aztec Account of the Conquest of Mexico
In 1519 Hernan Cortés sailed from Cuba, landed in Mexico and made his way to the Aztec capital. Miguel Leon Portilla, a Mexican anthropologist, gathered accounts by the Aztecs, some of which were written shortly after the conquest. From the Modern History Sourcebook.

Hurricane John Threatens Baja
Hurricane John has rapidly developed into a major hurricane. Currently a Category 3, John is forcast to become a Category 4 Wednesday with winds that could reach 150MPH. John could threaten landfall in Baja late Friday or early Saturday.
